General Job Function:

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for checking in materials, labeling coils, loading inbound and outbound materials, and unloading coil trucks safely and promptly.

Job Duties : Ensure finished goods are packaged, labeled, and shipped correctly and on time to customers. Coordinate with carriers, schedule pickups, and troubleshoot shipping delays. Unload incoming metal coils and all other raw materials from trucks, verifying that packing tickets and listed items correspond correctly before unloading. Direct and support forklift drivers in shipping and receiving operations, including task assignments, staff training, and safety compliance. Address minor operational issues related to the automatic conveyor loading system (Ancra), train floor personnel on use, and promptly report any required adjustments or maintenance to the relevant personnel. Creates the daily truck shipment schedule and communicates with the vendor. Assist operators as needed in verifying the accuracy of coil inventory. Perform computer and inventory transactions through the Company ERP system. Create and maintain safety check sheets to be distributed to operators for mobile warehouse machinery. Audit, maintain, and reorder plant office inventory supplies with Corporate Purchasing. Provide backup support for the Production Supervisor as needed during absences or peak periods. Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned, including projects or assignments to support the Plant. Working Conditions:

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is a safety-sensitive position working directly with machinery and equipment in a manufacturing facility, with frequent exposure to a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment where ambient air temperature can occasionally exceed outside air temperature. Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods. Must be able to bend at the waist and knees, walk, and stand for extended periods. Must lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds when necessary. Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl under or over, and frequently climb stairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Flexibility to adjust work schedule and hours as needed to support organizational demands. Must be available to work overtime, including weekends, to meet the organization's needs. Required Education, Experience & Skills:

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-3 years of experience in inventory control or shipping & receiving in a manufacturing environment are preferred Two years of experience in entering transactions with Epicor or a similar ERP system experience Must be computer literate and proficient with Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to work with and communicate (verbal and written) effectively with vendors and within all levels of the organization. Ability to self-motivate, problem-solve, and work in a dynamic environment Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide inches and pounds using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to complete written, oral, or diagram instructions. Must possess and maintain a valid forklift operator's license issued by the Company.
