Macon features the New Children's Hospital, opened in 2019, boasting a Level-III NICU and recognized as a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence. As the only dedicated pediatric hospital in central and south Georgia, we provide exceptional healthcare services to our patients. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced medical technology, ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Provide comprehensive neonatology care in a 66-bed, state-of-the-art Level-III NICU.
- Perform daily rounding and be on call from home every other night (26 weeks per year - one week on, one week off).
- Collaborate with subspecialty support readily available.
- Utilize advanced treatments including high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide.
- Participate in clinical appointments with Mercer Medical School.
- Work within a designated Level-I trauma center and one of six regional perinatal/neonatal centers in Georgia.
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Georgia medical license (or willing to obtain).
- DEA certification (to be obtained prior to start).
- Must be willing to adhere to all requirements for licensure and certifications as described.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine is required.
- Must possess or be eligible for licensure in Georgia.
- DEA must be obtained prior to employment.
