Location: Muskegon, Michigan
Setting: In-House OB Coverage Level II NICU Teaching Hospital
Schedule: 6 7 24-hour shifts/month (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)

Position Overview

An established healthcare organization in West Michigan is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) OB Hospitalist to join a collaborative, mission-driven team in Muskegon . This opportunity offers a mix of high-quality clinical care, surgical responsibility, and medical education , all within a supportive, team-based environment.

Role Highlights
  • 24-hour in-house OB coverage model

  • Full management of labor, delivery, postpartum care & OB emergencies

  • Triage and care for unassigned OB and emergency GYN patients

  • Close collaboration with OBs, L&D RNs, NICU APPs, and social workers

  • On-site Level II NICU

  • Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students

  • Responsible for rounding, entering orders, attending deliveries

  • Schedule: 6 7 shifts/month (24-hr)

  • Minimum 2 weekend shifts/month + rotating holiday coverage

Candidate Requirements

Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN (certification within 2 years )
OB and GYN surgical experience Required
Active Michigan medical license at start
Valid DEA registration and BLS certification
Clean malpractice and licensure history Strongly preferred
