is seeking a detail-oriented
HR Generalist
to join their team in their
Rochester, NY
office. The Human Resource Generalist will be a part of the daily functions of the HR department which includes responding to inquiries about pay, benefits, and leave, and communicating company policies and practices.

Responsibilities: Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications. Coordinates and facilitates employee recognition programs. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance management; culture, recognition, and morale; and training and development (including LMS). Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, performance management, and employment law. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. At least three years of human resource administration required. Certification in HR a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Ability to understand and handle highly sensitive information. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS system. Ability to travel overnight periodically (15%).
The starting base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000. This is the range of the base pay only, it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position. If offered a position, your total compensation package will be determined by experience, location, skills, and/or education which may result in a total compensation package that falls outside of the provided range.
