Job Description: Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds is committed to ensuring that we hire and retain a highly skilled, diverse, and culturally competent staff at all levels of the organization. We also believe in providing an ongoing investment in our faculty and staff to deepen their skills and competencies to serve the full range of our student population.
Reynolds Community College is currently in need of Respiratory Therapy Clinical Instructors to develop and strengthen students' cognitive, psychomotor, and affective clinical skills. Clinical instructors are responsible for evaluating student clinical competence in a variety of clinical settings. Some administrative duties are required for this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants are required to hold an AAS or AS in Respiratory Therapy, the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential, and a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the Virginia Board of Medicine. Two (2) years of recent clinical experience is also required. Applicants with experience and training in the field of pulmonary medicine (e.g., physicians, pharmacists, nurses, etc.), holding an advanced medical degree, credential, and license are also eligible to apply. Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; demonstrated basic computer skills, utilizing computer software for documentation purposes; demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students. Additional Considerations:
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a health-related field.
