What You Will Do Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and comprehensive medical history discussions Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting diagnostic imaging and laboratory reports Work closely with surgeons in formulating and implementing patient-specific surgical plans Provide essential intraoperative assistance such as preparing operating rooms, positioning patients, and efficiently managing surgical instruments Deliver outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, which includes overseeing medication administration, managing wound care, and engaging in discharge planning and patient education Education Requirements
A Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program Experience in clinical rotations with a surgical focus is highly preferred Certification Expectations
Current and unrestricted
PA-C
certification is necessary BLS
and
ACLS
certifications are required State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant Core Competencies
