Lead CDL A Driver

JOB SUMMARY As a Lead CDL A Driver, you will transport raw materials, chemicals, and hazardous and non-hazardous materials in the greater Washington area. The Lead CDL A Driver is expected to follow safety procedures when transporting materials and to perform safety inspections before and after each trip. The Lead CDL A Driver is required to load and/or unload their own trailer or a customer's trailer at the warehouse. The Lead CDL A Driver collaborates with all departments within the company to establish and maintain an orderly operations workflow, solid communication, and safe processes. The Lead CDL A Driver ensures transparency, compliance, and cooperation throughout the business as well as with customers, vendors, and other external parties. The Lead CDL A Driver develops, manages, and reports on warehouse objectives and targets. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Drive and maneuver a curtain van, tractor with 5500g liquid bulk tanker, tractor with 53ft. van trailer, and a 26ft box truck with a lift gate Transport IBCs (250g and 330g totes) to customer location Transport liquid hazardous materials Pump hazardous materials via a diaphragm pump into the customer's storage tank. Responsible for ensuring the warehouse facility, vehicles, equipment are in compliance with DuBois and DOT Health and Safety Standards, along with applicable legislation and regulations Ensure appropriate programs for monitoring equipment PM are implemented and followed Select and manage subcontractors that perform work on DuBois assets Monitor inventory control and inventory levels for replenishment requirements Monitor sales orders in system, ensure orders are satisfied and shipped in a reasonable time Track and maintain a list of inventory and equipment that requires inspection, calibration, certification, preventative maintenance, etc. Create and maintain a schedule to ensure all equipment receives required servicing Maintain and file all work orders, certificates, and other documentation Safe operation of truck units Management of production, demand delivery, (re)packaging, warehousing, shipping/receiving activities to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained, delivery standards are met, and that the necessary product documentation is maintained and that all compliance requirements are met in a safe and efficient manner Identify areas that will benefit from continuous improvement, collaborate with appropriate team members, and implement the required action items Management of direct reports as well as assigned vendors to ensure a safe, healthy and cooperative work environment Provide Direct Report Supervision Sign DuBois Bill of Lading and receiving documents Repair and provide maintenance of approved equipment Required to participate in onsite deliveries as required based on staffing levels Provide functional guidance/leadership to the organization in all areas of responsibility and provide strategic counsel to the Director as required on related matters Operate a pallet jack and/or drum dollies Operate a sit-down forklift Load and unload trucks Manage warehouse inventory Effectively, timely, and respectfully communicate and interact with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and customers Proficient with following verbal and written instructions Places product securely in appropriate warehouse locations to ensure that damage or misplacement does not occur Retrieves and loads customer products as di
