Position Summary

The Quality Supervisor provides hands-on leadership to a team of Quality Technicians and Specialists across multiple shifts. This role ensures product quality, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and strengthens JASC's quality culture to meet customer and operational excellence targets in a high-growth, state-of-the-art manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coach a team of Quality Technicians and Specialists, setting clear expectations and holding the team accountable for results. Oversee inspection, testing, and auditing activities to ensure compliance with

IATF 16949 ,

ISO 14001 , and customer-specific requirements. Facilitate problem-solving using structured methods such as 5-Why, Fishbone, and statistical analysis to address root causes and prevent recurrence. Manage layered process audits (LPA) and ensure timely closure of findings. Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve abnormality conditions and implement change point controls. Identify training needs and provide skill development plans for quality staff. Lead continuous improvement activities (Kaizen events) to reduce scrap, improve tool life, and eliminate quality-related downtime. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies. Support launch readiness for new products as part of JASC's $50M expansion, including customer readiness reviews, control plan updates, and capability studies. Analyze quality metrics and prepare reports for management review. Collaborate with suppliers and customers to address external quality concerns. Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications

Associate's degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred. 5+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing quality role, manufacturing environment is preferred. Job Knowledge, skills and abilities

Strong knowledge of GD&T, mechanical blueprints, inspection/testing equipment, and quality assurance systems. Experience with machining processes (i.e., cutting tools, material machining, etc.), heat treat principles, and metallurgical testing. Proficient with statistical and problem-solving tools (SPC, MSA, capability studies). Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and error-proofing techniques. Hands-on experience in conducting internal and external audits. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to influence cross-functional teams. Ability to motivate, inspire and lead their team; willingness to support their team members on all shifts when needed Experience with IATF16949 and ISO 14001 as a foundational principle of operations; Able to learn to operate and maintain various equipment at an acceptable level with emphasis on quality, IATF16949 standard, ISO14001 standard, safety/environmental, 5S and productivity. Work shift as assigned and overtime is required, as needed.
