Join a well-respected Oncology/Hematology practice located in Ashtabula, Ohio, nestled on the scenic shores of Lake Erie. With a population of approximately 98,000, Ashtabula offers a broad range of recreational activities and a sense of community, all while being conveniently located between Cleveland, Ohio, and Erie, Pennsylvania. The Ashtabula Regional Medical Center, an affiliate of the Cleveland Clinic, is seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to enhance their dedicated team of healthcare providers.
Job Responsibilities:- Manage a patient load of 15-20 per day in an outpatient setting and 3-5 per day in the hospital.
- Participate in a full-time negotiable schedule with on-call responsibilities for 10 days per month.
- Provide care for a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatric patients.
- Focus on 25% Hematology and 75% Oncology practices alongside 2 physicians.
- Utilize EPIC as the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with a multispecialty group practice consisting of over 60 providers.
- Contribute to a community hospital that is expanding with a new patient care tower in 2024.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as NP/PA in a Hematology/Oncology-specific environment.
- Board Certified NP/PA is required.
- Experience in managing procedures such as VAD/CV catheters, FNA/biopsy, and chemotherapy.
- Skill in participating on a Tumor Board and prescriptive authority in accordance with regulations.
- Must reside within a 40-mile radius or be willing to relocate.
- Active Ohio NP/PA license (or willing to obtain).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA certification must be obtained prior to starting.
