Electrophysiology Technologist / Specialist
MGH Heart Center, Cardiac Arrhythmia Service and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
The MGH Heart Center’s Cardiac Arrhythmia Service and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab are internationally recognized for pioneering contributions to the treatment of heart rhythm disorders, offering patients the most advanced approaches to the evaluation and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Electrophysiology Technologist/Specialist to join our world-class team.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in providing comprehensive and advanced therapies to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and perform a wide range of advanced procedures within the Electrophysiology Lab.
- Provide technical support for complex catheter ablation procedures, including those for atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and other cardiac arrhythmias.
- Participate in the implantation of implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) for the prevention of sudden cardiac death.
- Support cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) procedures for patients with congestive heart failure.
- Aid in specialized procedures such as laser lead extraction.
- Operate and maintain a variety of advanced medical equipment in the EP lab.
- Ensure a safe and sterile environment for all procedures.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in an Electrophysiology (EP) lab is essential.
- Proven proficiency in assisting with and performing the procedures listed above.
- Strong technical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
