Title: Electrophysiology Technologist (EP Tech)
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
Job Responsibilities:
Perform and assist in advanced electrophysiology (EP) procedures including:
Arrhythmia induction, cardiac mapping, cardiac ablation
Pacemaker and AICD insertion/programming
Cardioversion, conduction studies, and LAA closure (e.g., Watchman)
Electrophysiology evaluations and baseline measurements
Cardiac Cath Lab support duties:
Hemodynamic monitoring
Temporary pacemaker insertion
Cardiac implant closure devices
Laser-assisted procedures (preferred)
Clinical responsibilities include:
Monitoring patients and recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias
Equipment setup and sterile field maintenance
EKG lead placement and access site preparation
Use and maintenance of fluoroscopy, ultrasound, PACS, and lab equipment
Infection control and sterile technique adherence
Maintain equipment and stock supplies as needed
Required Skills & Experience:
ACLS and BLS certification
National certification: ARRT or RCES (CCI)
Valid New Mexico state license (pending accepted)
Strong background in EP lab procedures and sterile technique
Preferred Skills & Experience:nExperience with:nGE Innova IGS, Philips, Siemens systemsnLaser-assisted proceduresnEP lab monitoring and advanced device placementnUse of rapid response teamnFamiliarity with isolation precautions and inventory managementnnAdditional Information:nUnit welcomes first-time travelers with extensive EP experiencenPatient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatricsnDaily census: approximately 10 patientsnUnit features 3 procedure rooms and interdisciplinary support servicesnScrubs provided
