Department Details

This position entails working straight nights with a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off (Wednesday-Tuesday). Shifts will vary between 10-12 hours. You will be required to work every other holiday, and incentive pay is available for working evening and night hours. The role involves performing both x-ray and CT exams.

Job Summary

In this role, you will perform diagnostic imaging examinations and ensure the production of quality images across Network locations. You will operate imaging equipment, ensuring accurate patient positioning and adherence to relevant guidelines. Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing radiation safety practices
  • Delivering exceptional patient care and education
  • Navigating the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Responsibilities may expand based on facility needs and could include:

  • On-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Performing mobile imaging and basic diagnostic radiology tasks
  • Carrying out EKGs and cardiac monitor placements
  • Executing DEXA procedures

Qualifications

To be considered, you must have:

  • Completed an educational program recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including positioning, film/image processing, and radiation protection
  • ARRT registration and an additional recognized modality (CT, MR, M, BD, etc.)

For positions in North Dakota, licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) is needed. In South Dakota, ARRT certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire. In Iowa, permits must be secured through the Iowa Department of Public Health. Some clinic locations may require a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification within the first eight weeks. Additionally, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within six weeks of employment.
