Department Details
This is a straight nights position with a unique schedule of 7 days on followed by 7 days off (working Wednesday-Tuesday). Shifts will vary from 10 to 12 hours in length, and you will work every other holiday. Additionally, incentive pay is offered for evening and night hours on top of your base salary.
Job Summary
As a Multi-Modality Radiology Technologist, you will:
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, ensuring the production of quality images within Network locations.
- Operate imaging equipment and ensure accurate patient positioning during procedures.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and implement proper protection practices.
- Deliver excellent patient care and education before, during, and after imaging procedures.
Proficiency in navigating electronic medical record (EMR) systems is vital. You may also be asked to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
In our Sanford Rural Health Network, there may be expanded responsibilities based on facility needs, which could include on-call rotations for nights, weekends, and holidays. You should be prepared to perform diagnostic radiology procedures and other basic tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited program recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- A solid understanding of radiographic principles, positioning, and quality control is essential.
- ARRT registration is mandatory, along with at least one additional modality certification.
- Licensure requirements vary by state; must comply with necessary local regulations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six weeks of employment.
