**Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist**
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating medical imaging equipment that utilizes high-frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes. This role requires a commitment to obtaining high-quality imaging and providing excellent patient care.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and special procedures, demonstrating skill in producing adequate images of anatomy for accurate diagnosis.
- Consult with radiologists regarding exam reviews prior to patient discharge.
- Provide ultrasound guidance for attending physicians during special procedures, ensuring clarity in anatomy for examinations performed.
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment malfunctions and notify Clinical Engineering as necessary.
- Verify clinical history, orders, and patient identification using established identifiers.
- Achieve high-quality imaging of requested anatomy, ensuring proper labeling of body parts and viewing planes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing the PACS (Picture Archive Communication System) and ensure accurate documentation of patient care services in hospital records.
- Demonstrate competence in using Epic for patient management.
- Execute high-level disinfection of endocavity probes according to policy guidelines.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards while ensuring accurate patient records for all procedures performed.
**Position Requirements:**
- Strong ability to interact compassionately and effectively with patients, demonstrating sensitivity towards their needs.
- In-depth knowledge of ultrasound equipment and protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
