Job Title: Multi Modality Technologist
Location: San Antonio, TX 78258
Duration: 3+ Months (possible extension)
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Blocked scheduling: Week 1 = 4 days, Week 2 = 3 days)
Work Type: Full-Time

Patient Population: Pediatric ER and Routine outpatient x-rays
Schedule: Alternate weekends
Position Summary:
The Multi-Modality Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures across two or more imaging modalities (such as Diagnostic Radiology, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, or Special Procedures). Operating with minimal supervision, the technologist uses independent judgment to ensure high-quality imaging services, while providing excellent patient care and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, some complex, utilizing advanced computerized imaging equipment across assigned modalities.
  • Flexibly work within different modalities and locations as assigned, including departments and clinics.
  • Coordinate and prioritize imaging procedures to maintain smooth workflow and patient care continuity.
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness, adequate supply levels, and compliance with infection control standards.
  • Accurately program imaging equipment and ensure all scan data is correctly stored in PACS.
  • Ensure all billing codes and charges are properly entered into the system.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and clinical staff, adapting care methods to meet individual patient needs (physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, developmental).
  • Adhere to hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and professional standards.
  • Demonstrate alignment with organizational core values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical imaging setting.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong customer service skills.
Certifications & Licenses:
  • Active primary modality certification from ARRT or NMTCB (e.g., Radiography (R), Nuclear Medicine Technology (N), Sonography (S)).
  • Active post-primary modality certification in at least one modality (e.g., Mammography, CT, MRI, Bone Densitometry, Vascular Interventional Radiography, Breast or Vascular Sonography).
  • State licensure as applicable (e.g., Texas MRT license by TMB).
  • BLS certification (AHA only).
