American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a busy Level I trauma operating room with advanced case variety and Neuro, ENT, and Robotics experience highly preferred.

Work in a large Main Operating Room within a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated, academic teaching hospital,
Unit supports all surgical specialties, including Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU/GYN, Robotics, and Transplant/Procurement cases,
Schedule consists of 4x10 hour mid shifts, 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, with holiday rotation,
No required weekend shifts, but 2 weekend call shifts per month are required (12-hour call: 7A-7P or 7P-7A),
Floating between like units or to meet facility needs is expected,
21 operating suites available, supporting both elective and emergent cases,
Uses Davinci Xi robotic system and EPIC for charting; EPIC experience preferred,
Radiation badge must be provided by the agency,
Scrub color is provided,
Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist,
NBSTSA certification required; NCCT certification not accepted,
BLS certification required,
Recent experience with Neuro (spines/crani), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (Davinci Xi) cases highly preferred,
Level I trauma experience required,
Radiation badge required for consideration,
First-time travelers will be considered,
60 mile radius rule applies for local candidates; locals may be considered at a reduced rate,
License required if applicable,

Duties include scrubbing for a full spectrum of cases such as trauma, ortho, neuro, ENT, robotics, transplant, GU/GYN, and burns,
Join a dynamic OR team with a strong RN and Certified Surgical Technologist presence where RNs both scrub and circulate,
Expect a fast-paced, nurse-driven environment with cutting-edge technology,
Compliance modules must be completed pre-start and average 4 hours,
During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed,
All requested time off must be declared up front; RTO after submission is not accepted and lengthy RTO or holiday dates require approval,
Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for one year before eligibility as a traveler,
Parking requires a $20 registration fee for a parking hang tag valid for a designated garage
