Requirements:

  1.5+ years CT experience

  n n
• n

  Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Sciences

  n n
• n

  ARRT, CT Certification required

  n n
• n

  BLS & CPR required

  n n

  GE 16 slice Brightspeed (ER)

• n

  GE 64 slice VCT (Main Department)

  GE 16 slice Optima 540 (Main Department)

Scope of Role:

n
• n

  Perform basic CT procedures, venipuncture for injections, operate power injector, administer IV contrast as ordered by physician, and perform 3-D reformats on scanner/workstation

  n n
• n

  CT scans for inpatient, outpatient, and ER studies

  n n
• n

  Routine diagnostic CT procedures including head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and biopsy/drainage procedures

  n n
• n

  Knowledge of CT system processing, surgical/sterile procedures, studies with or without contrast media, and cross-sectional anatomy

  n n

The CT Technologist is a graduate of an accredited AMA school, licensed by the state as a general radiographer, and responsible for providing timely diagnostic services under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols.
