Job Title: CT Technologist
Profession: Allied Health
Specialty: Radiologic Technology
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Weekend Mids
Hours per Shift: 12 Hours
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 Years Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
License:
- Client Licensure (must obtain prior to starting position)
Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
- Injection certification preferred (must be willing to complete during orientation process)
Must-Have:
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Patient and compassionate disposition
- Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment
Description:
Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan.
Strictly adhere to department policy and procedure for patient safety.
Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling techniques.
Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within the system.
Assure that images are sent to the imaging system correctly upon exam completion.
Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
Knowledge of imaging equipment is preferred.
Experience with electronic health record systems is highly desired.
