They are seeking a confident and experienced Executive Assistant to support their President and executive leadership team. The Executive Assistant will serve as a vital partner to the President and Executive Office, managing schedules, preparing materials, overseeing communication, and supporting daily operations. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this role requires discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate the needs of senior leadership while maintaining professionalism and poise under pressure. Key Responsibilities:
Manage calendars and coordinate complex scheduling needs for the President and executive leadership team. Prepare materials, logistics, and background research for meetings and external engagements. Handle high-volume email correspondence and mail management, including drafting communications on behalf of leadership. Coordinate domestic travel arrangements, including transportation, accommodations, and itineraries. Support logistics for board meetings, executive committee sessions, and other high-profile events. Assist with the creation and distribution of board materials, including proofreading and formatting. Track action items and follow-ups discussed in meetings. Maintain executive office contact records in Salesforce and manage internal documentation. Submit expense reports and assist with purchasing needs. Provide general administrative support and complete ad hoc projects as needed. Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required (minimum 3.5 GPA preferred). 25 years of Executive Assistant experience, ideally in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Salesforce is a strong plus. Excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills. Strong emotional intelligence and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment. Must be resilient, composed, and capable of working closely with a high-expectation executive. Additional Details:
This position is 100% on-site in Washington, DC. Occasional after-hours support may be required, though infrequently. Light travel may be expected 12 times per year. This role is best suited for someone deeply committed to a long-term career as an Executive Assistant.
