1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants As a CNC Programmer in the manufacturing industry, you will be responsible for creating, testing, and optimizing computer numerical control (CNC) programs that drive lathes, mill machines, and Haas CNC equipment to produce precision parts and components. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of the manufacturing process, ensuring that production goals and specifications are consistently met. You will collaborate closely with engineers, machinists, and quality control teams to translate design blueprints into executable CNC code. This role requires a deep understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials to develop programs that maximize machine capabilities while minimizing waste and downtime. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards of product excellence and operational productivity within the manufacturing environment. Minimum Qualifications: Proven experience programming CNC lathes and mill machines, specifically with Haas CNC controls. Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming languages. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in CNC programming, manufacturing technology, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with machining processes, tooling, and materials used in manufacturing. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar platforms. Knowledge of advanced CNC programming techniques including multi-axis machining. Background in quality control and inspection methods related to CNC machined parts. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Previous experience working in a high-volume manufacturing setting. Responsibilities: Develop, write, and test CNC programs for lathes, mill machines, and Haas CNC equipment based on engineering drawings and specifications. Modify and optimize existing CNC programs to improve machining efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality. Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming issues and implement solutions on the shop floor. Conduct simulations and dry runs of CNC programs to verify accuracy and prevent errors before actual production. Maintain detailed documentation of CNC programs, tooling setups, and process parameters for future reference and compliance. Skills: The required skills in lathes, mill machines, and Haas CNC are essential for daily programming and operation of CNC equipment, enabling precise control over machining processes. Proficiency in reading technical drawings allows the programmer to accurately translate design intent into machine instructions. Knowledge of G-code and M-code is applied to write and modify CNC programs that control machine movements and functions. Preferred skills such as CAM software expertise enhance the ability to create complex toolpaths and optimize machining strategies efficiently. Additionally, strong problem-solving and collaboration skills facilitate effective communication with production teams to resolve issues and improve overall manufacturing performance.
