Data Analyst III

Location: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 remote) - Bellevue WA/ Herndon VA Duration: 12 Months As a Data Analyst, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of technical and non-technical business stakeholders on a wide range of challenges. You must be able to work across the entire data analysis lifecycle, including problem framing, data collection, data analysis, report development, deployment, and performance measurement. Paramount to this role is the understanding that a Data Analyst's goal is to create real business value from data. Technology Requirements: Power Bi, Excel, SQL What does a typical day look like: Data Analysis, Requirements gathering and Report building. Priority soft skills: Good communication and documentation skills. At least 5 years relevant experience required. Responsibilities include: Build and maintain scalable dashboards and reports that transform data into clear, digestible insights to drive informed business decisions. Gather and integrate complex data inputs from multiple internal and external sources. Identify new data sources that will enhance business outcomes and support strategic and tactical objectives. Provide insights and guidance to stakeholders on trends and key drivers, and prepare clear, actionable reports. Work with Data Engineer to assess business needs, prioritize projects and drive new reporting requirements to completion. Drive clarity or requirements and ensure delivery meets agreed upon requirements. Define & Support processes to improve data quality, including: Frequency of data collection. Consistency (normalization). Automation of data gathering activities. Validation of datasets to confirm Source and Databricks datasets match Ability to work across multiple business lanes and provide support and assistance wherever needed. The role requires flexibility and solid communication skills. Ideal Candidate Profile: Strong knowledge of Power BI for data visualization. Good knowledge of SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) to query, analyze, and manipulate data for testing purposes. Ability to understand, analyze, and document data requirements, including validation criteria and acceptance thresholds for new data features or pipelines. Strong analytical skills to identify issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure data alignment with business needs. Excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally with data engineers, product owners, and business analysts for effective requirement validation and feedback.
