Description

The responsibilities include but are not limited to: Applications & Quoting - applying their expertise to the quoting process that consists of all machining processes including labor. Machine & Process Troubleshooting - Diagnose and resolve set-up and machine operational issue. Programming & Optimization - write and edit CNC programs optimizing tool paths, speeds, and feeds to enhance machine efficiencies. Process Development & Process Improvement - design and implement manufacturing process for Swiss-style CNC lathe machining. Identify efficiencies that reduce or eliminate secondary, deburring, tumbling processes. 100% onsite role Tooling & Collet Fixture Design- selecting the appropriate tools, collets, and fixtures that meet the job requirements in the most efficient process. Quality Assurance- collaborate with Quality Control to define inspections and quality control processes that ensure the finished part meets tolerances and quality standards. 2-Year Technical Degree in CNC Programming or Engineer Applications In-depth knowledge of f programming and operating CNC lathes such as Citizens, Tsugami, Star, etc. Reading and taking blueprints from paper to production through programming, set-up, and quality inspection. Working in a high precision machining environment High aptitude in mathematics US Person qualified No felony convictions Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Swiss-style CNC lathe setup, programming, and operation, ideally in a production environment Strong proficiency with CNC programming (G-code) and knowledge of CAM software. Familiarity with various Swiss lathe brands such as Citizen, Tsugami, and Star. Experience and understanding of CNC Machine Tool controls, servo systems and mechanical concepts Ability to work inside the machines when needed. Lift up to 25 lbs.
