Systems Architect with Security Clearance

IDR is seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Architect to join one of our premier clients supporting a high-profile missile defense program. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Huntsville, AL, where you'll be embedded with a cross-functional architecture and systems engineering team. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Systems Architect: Lead development of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Design Documents (IDDs) Create System Architecture solutions for evolving capabilities, collaborating across domains (software, network, cyber, etc.) Coordinate logical and physical system architectures across integrated development teams Interface with project leads, product owners, and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) stakeholders Present architectural concepts to diverse internal and external audiences Develop architecture documentation using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like Cameo Stay current with evolving technologies in DoD Command and Control and COTS/FOSS IT products Participate in design reviews and contribute to system documentation and architecture artifacts Contribute to Agile and DevSecOps methodologies in support of digital engineering transformation Required Skills for the Systems Architect: Minimum 9 years of engineering experience or 7 years with a Masters degree in Engineering or Computer Science Active Secret Clearance required to start Experience architecting DoD systems using COTS/GOTS components with interoperability in mind Proficient in developing engineering artifacts (e.g., use cases, specifications, interface documents, trade studies) Familiar with DoD cybersecurity, RMF compliance, and private cloud/IT technologies (e.g., VMWare, RedHat, Nutanix) Strong technical communication and presentation skills Familiar with MBSE tools like Cameo and requirements tools like DOORS Agile development familiarity Whats in it for you?
