IDR is seeking a dynamic and experienced
System Architect
to join one of our top clients in
Huntsville, AL . This role focuses on defining operational, physical, functional, and technical architecture for evolving program efforts within an integrated architecture and systems engineering environment. This is an opportunity to join a large organization in a team-oriented culture. Responsibilities
Participate in an integrated architecture & systems engineering team to define the vision and desired capabilities of an evolving program effort. Architect missile defense command and control and battle management systems leveraging existing or COTS/GOTS components with DoD interoperability. Analyze high-level needs through a structured and logical approach. Develop system engineering and architecture artifacts (e.g. Specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.). Present at DoD Customer Design Reviews and communicate desired capabilities to a diverse group of developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users. Qualifications
Experience in architecting systems in an environment that leverages existing or COTS/GOTS components with DoD interoperability. Familiarity with Private Cloud solutions and IT technologies such as VMWare/Nutanix, RedHat, Network solutions. Familiarity with DoD Cyber requirements, RMF, and associated solutions. Familiarity with Software development and Java-based software solutions. Familiarity with DevSecOps and/or Digital Engineering Transformation (DET) methodologies and solutions. Familiarity with Agile development and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo tool. Familiarity with requirements management tools, e.g., DOORS. Secret Clearance required to start.
