Role Description: Trial Attorney (Houston, TX) This is a full-time, on-site position based in Houston, Texas. As a Trial Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in managing and primarily litigating plaintiff-side civil litigation matters. You will be expected to handle a caseload from litigation through trial, including court, pleading, motions, appearances, depositions, and trial, and appeal. Responsibilities • Represent clients in civil court proceedings and arbitrations • Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, law and motion, discovery, and trial preparation • Conduct and defend depositions of clients, witnesses, experts, and treating physicians • Evaluate cases for settlement, mediation, or trial • Collaborate with legal support staff, co-counsel, and firm leadership to strategize and execute litigation plans • Maintain detailed and timely documentation of case activities in the case management system Qualifications • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar • Minimum of 5-10 years of litigation experience; plaintiff or defense. • Ample trial experience strongly preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong legal research, analytical, and organizational abilities • Passion for advocacy and justice for injured clients • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, public, high-stakes national exposure. • Competitive salary with bonus opportunities based on performance and trial outcomes • Ongoing trial skills training, mentorship, and career development support • Collaborative and supportive team environment • Opportunities to grow within a firm with national reach and big vision How to Apply Interested candidates should submit their resume, cover letter, and a list of recent trials or litigation results via LinkedIn or to hr@kaass.com.
