Job Summary Working with the Network Engineer team and reporting to the Director of Technical Operations, the Senior Network Architect is responsible for designing and enhancing local, wide area, and wireless networks supporting Corporate HQ, branches, and data centers across North America. This role is key in driving innovation and continuous improvement across WAN, LAN, and wireless network environments.

The Senior Network Architect provides strategic leadership in developing next-generation architectures, enabling automation, scalability, and performance. The role also involves contributing to the IT project portfolio by ensuring that network solutions are modern, secure, and align with business goals.

Additional responsibilities include participating in a cross-functional Architecture Review Board, establishing enterprise technology standards, and maintaining documentation and lifecycle management of network infrastructure.

Essential Functions

Designs and documents technical network systems to align with business needs

Provides strategic direction and technical leadership for the Networking team

Assists in hiring, developing, and retaining top talent

Reduces costs by simplifying designs and leveraging vendor relationships

Builds vendor partnerships to ensure quality service within SLAs and budget

Reviews and updates contracts and service agreements

Communicates updates on service standards and procedures

Maintains documentation, policies, and procedures

Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders

Monitors performance, ensures security, and manages capacity planning

Recommends hardware and software upgrades

Coordinates system maintenance and environmental infrastructure support

Develops and monitors security controls

Addresses technical issues and analyzes system impacts

Prepares technical documentation and trains staff on concepts

Performs peer reviews of documentation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

8+ years of network engineering experience preferred

Experience with Arista EOS, CloudVision, LANZ, DANZ Networking

Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP highly desired

Expertise in troubleshooting routing protocols

Experience with traffic analysis, Data Center VXLAN-VTEP topologies, BGP, and network segmentation

Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls

Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and security knowledge

Experience with IT security standards and ITIL concepts is a plus

Workstyle Hybrid – one day in office, four days remote
