We’re looking for a founding engineer who wants to own the technical vision and lead engineering from 0 to 1 , growing into our CTO within 6 months.
Job Description
The Role
You will build Aeone’s web and mobile applications from the ground up — designing the architecture, choosing the tech stack, and writing production-quality code for both frontend and backend. You’ll also set up databases, establish engineering best practices, and recruit and lead a top-tier team of engineers.
Based on performance, this role will transition into Chief Technology Officer after 6 months, where you’ll focus more on strategy, leadership, and scaling the engineering organization.
What You’ll Do
Build our platform — develop web and mobile apps from scratch (frontend + backend)
Set up infrastructure — databases, cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring
Lead the team — recruit, mentor, and manage engineers as the company grows
Collaborate closely with product and design to deliver a seamless user experience
Establish engineering culture — coding standards, processes, and architecture decisions
Scale globally — manage and coordinate with teams across multiple time zones
Make high-impact technical decisions that shape Aeone’s product for years to come
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of software engineering experience (full-stack)
Proven experience building products from the ground up — ideally in a startup environment
Strong backend skills (Node.js, Python, or similar) and frontend expertise (React, React Native, or similar)
Experience with database design and management (SQL, postgres SQL, and/or NoSQL)
Highly skilled in AWS cloud solutions (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, Route 53, etc)
Track record of recruiting, managing, and scaling engineering teams
Experience working with or managing engineering teams in India is a plus
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
Clear communication and leadership skills — able to inspire and align teams
