Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

LHH is partnering with a prominent real estate firm to add a Senior Project Accountant to their team. The role will involve core project accounting duties for a specialized line of service under commercial real estate.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial operations for multiple construction projects, including tenant improvements, capital renovations, and ground-up developments.
  • Set up and maintain project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure alignment with approved funding sources.
  • Review and process vendor invoices, subcontractor pay applications, and lien waivers to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Collaborate with project managers and development teams to monitor job costs, forecast cash flow, and analyze budget variances.
  • Prepare monthly draw packages for lenders and joint venture partners, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and documentation standards.
  • Reconcile project costs with general ledger accounts and perform monthly accruals and budget adjustments.
  • Generate and distribute financial reports, including job cost summaries, variance analyses, and capital tracking dashboards.
  • Support project close-out activities, including final reconciliations, fee audits, and documentation reviews.
  • Assist with year-end audits and provide financial data to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance; CPA preferred.
  • 4+ years of construction accounting or commercial real estate development experience
  • Strong understanding of job cost accounting, budgeting, and project financial reporting
  • Proficiency with Yardi preferred
  • Experience with data centers preferred
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

  • Annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance
