Our client, a well-established company, is seeking a permanent part-time Associate General Counsel to join their Ventura County office.

Known worldwide for delivering reliable, technology-driven solutions across diverse industries, the company is looking for an attorney who can provide thoughtful legal guidance while maintaining a flexible work schedule.

This role is designed for an experienced attorney who thrives in a collaborative environment and is looking for a long-term, part-time position with a stable organization that values its people.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for business operations, customer engagements, and vendor relationships, including drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts such as supplier, technology, and real estate agreements.
• Oversee and manage company lease agreements, including renewals, extensions, and new lease negotiations.
• Partner with Human Resources and management on employment law matters, including policies, compliance issues, and employee relations.
• Conduct or oversee investigations and help manage outside counsel in employment-related litigation or administrative matters.
• Support compliance programs in coordination with parent and affiliated companies.
• Stay informed of legal developments and trends affecting the company’s industries.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; must be licensed to practice in California.
• At least 10 years of legal experience , with a minimum of 5 years in an in-house role.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize diverse projects efficiently.
• Comfortable working on-site in Ventura County 4 to 5 days per week.

At the time of the posting, the anticipated salary range for the role is $180,000 to $210,000.
