The Software Engineer III is responsible for designing, developing, and debugging software solutions across a range of platforms including operating systems, compilers, networks, and embedded systems. Contributes to the development of software tools and applications, ensuring hardware compatibility and influencing hardware design where applicable. Engages in architectural planning for networked systems and cloud infrastructure. The role will also engage with the cross functional team to understand, define, implement, test, and document product features for various Cepheid Product software.
This position reports to the Senior Software Engineer Manager and is part of the Software Engineering Department located in Sunnyvale California and will be an on-site role.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software products using Java.
• Maintain robust software applications by participating in software debugging and testing.
• Follow the Agile software development process. Code reviews, design practices, SCRUM software development cycles with Sprints, user stories, task estimation and planning
  

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of related work experience
• Software development experience with Java, Angular, Spring Boot, REST API
• Good knowledge of Object Oriental programming and design patterns
• Experience with Test Driven development
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum Environment
  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience with software development for medical devices, design controls and quality management.
  

The annual salary range for this role is $135,000-$155,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
