This role requires a high level of clinical expertise and a strong commitment to patient care within a dynamic hospital environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from neurological conditions in the Stepdown unit.- Monitor patients' vital signs and neurological status, responding effectively to any changes in condition.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.- Educate patients and their families on post-acute care needs and rehabilitation processes.- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using electronic charting systems.- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining high standards of care. Qualifications: - Minimum of 18 months of permanent nursing experience in a Neuro Stepdown or similar specialty prior to travel assignments.- Valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license at the time of submission.- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale certification.- Demonstrated ability to recognize ECG rhythms and complete safeMedicate assessments successfully.- Previous travel experience in a nursing role is preferable but not mandatory.- Ability to work holidays as scheduled, with a commitment to being a flexible team member.
