This role is crucial for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The Med/Surg Tele RN will be responsible for managing patient care for those with various medical and surgical needs, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to provide the best possible outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the medical-surgical and telemetry unit.- Monitor patients' conditions, including ECG rhythm recognition, and respond to changes in vital signs.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.- Educate patients and their families about health management and treatment plans.- Adhere to all facility protocols and safety standards to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients. Shift Details: - Full-time position with a shift schedule of 3x12 hours.- Rotating shifts between days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). - Holiday coverage required every other holiday. Qualifications: - Must possess a current and active Ohio RN license or a multi-state compact license.- A minimum of 18 months of recent, continuous experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry nursing role is required.- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS must be active and valid at the time of application.- Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.- Must be able to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
