The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Level 3 or 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and a passion for providing high-quality care to critically ill neonates. As a NICU RN, you will play a key role in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for premature infants and those requiring specialized interventions. Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive nursing care for neonates, including those as premature as 22 weeks and various surgical infants.- Monitor and manage the care of patients requiring high-level interventions such as therapeutic hypothermia, nitric oxide therapy, and ventilator management.- Perform special procedures and utilize advanced equipment such as Arduino IV pumps, Servo Ventilators, and Giraffe incubators.- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy, to deliver optimal patient care.- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:2-4, ensuring a high standard of care while managing a diverse range of patient diagnoses.- Chart effectively using the EPIC system to document patient care and progress comprehensively. Requirements: - Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience in a Level 3 or 4 setting is required.- Current certifications in BLS and NRP are mandatory.- Experience with ventilators and advanced neonatal care practices is essential.- Ability to perform essential skills, including central line management and tracheostomy care. Scheduling: - This position follows a self-scheduling system based on unit needs.- Requires working 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays within a 6-week period.- Applicants must be comfortable floating to pediatric, PICU, and nursery units as needed. Orientation: - 24 hours of unit orientation will be provided to ensure smooth integration into the team. Dress Code: - Scrubs should be navy blue or white.At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
