Pay Information $2,416 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years labor and delivery experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, C-EFM required Must-Have: C-EFM certification highly encouraged Experience with Epic charting system preferred Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs Description: The position involves providing care during labor and delivery, postpartum, and new-born care. Candidates will be responsible for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care. They will assist with both vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections. Education and support for breastfeeding and discharge teaching to parents will be part of the responsibilities. Nurses will administer medications and provide care for high-risk mothers, including those on magnesium sulfate and experiencing preterm labor. Participation in team efforts focusing on evidence-based practice and family-centered care is essential. On-call duties are required approximately 1-3 shifts every 6 weeks. Weekend shifts are mandatory every third weekend. Candidates should be comfortable working in a team-oriented environment. The unit collaborates with multiple interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care. Care for patients will include managing a daily census of 10-12, with 6 labor and delivery rooms and postpartum facilities.
