Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience with conscious sedation, vents, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV start, and procedural sedation administration. License: Must have valid state license prior to start date. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH Certification, CPI Certification, ENPC Certification, and TNCC Certification preferred. Must-Have: 1. 2 years of experience in the emergency department. 2. 1 prior travel assignment completed. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The shift is nights, working 3 x 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend is required, with no on-call requirement. Travelers will be required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. The patient ratio is 1:4. The facility handles various patient age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census is around 120 patients with an average number of visits per day also being 120. This position involves working with patients presenting a variety of conditions requiring emergency care. Travelers should possess skills related to managing dysrhythmias, drug overdoses, respiratory infections, and procedural sedation administration among other critical emergency nursing tasks. Scrubs are not provided and any color is acceptable as long as there are no other facility logos. The documentation system used is Cerner, with medication management through Pyxis. All employees are required to be vaccinated for the flu, with no exemptions allowed. COVID-19 vaccination is not required. RTO during a contract will not be approved for greater than 8 days, and this must be scheduled to allow the traveler to still work their full required hours per week.
