About The Team

The Operations team at Firehawk is laying the foundation for the future of propellant manufacturing at our planned state-of-the-art facility in Lawton, OK. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join us in Addison, TX, and help establish Firehawks core quality function.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality support across product development and production, including reviews, quality planning, inspection protocols, and verification activities.
  • Drive the transition from New Product Introduction (NPI) to high-rate manufacturing, ensuring supply chain and deployment readiness.
  • Partner with design and engineering teams to embed quality in products from the start.
  • Define and implement quality processes, grow and lead a quality team over time.
  • Develop and execute quality control plans, track metrics, and identify improvements.
  • Conduct audits and inspections, resolve quality issues collaboratively.
  • Maintain quality documentation, enforce product and process requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and material review activities.
  • Review technical data packages, define critical characteristics, and manage configuration control.
  • Specify inspection tooling and automated defect detection systems.
  • Support the establishment and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and maintain 5S practices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field with defense or aerospace experience.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, AS6500, ISO 9001 standards.
  • 10+ years in engineering, manufacturing, or quality, with team management experience preferred.
  • Experience translating quality requirements into test systems, familiarity with missile storage and maintenance.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and customers to meet requirements.
  • Proficiency with FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, GD&T.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Eligibility for a DOD Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with propulsion systems and full-system integration.
  • Experience with government contracts and MIL standards.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

ITAR compliance: Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required authorizations.

Work environment involves standard office tasks, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, and potential travel. Use of PPE may be required.

Security clearance: May be required; U.S. citizenship necessary.
