The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and OB settings and must be equipped with critical nursing skills necessary to provide top-level care to mothers and newborns. Responsibilities: - Provide basic and specialized nursing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.- Monitor fetal heart rates and respond effectively to emergencies during labor.- Perform nursing duties including fetal monitoring, documentation, and emergency OB care.- Assist with cesarean section recovery, postpartum care, and neonatal resuscitation.- Support breastfeeding and provide routine and specialized care in the nursery.- Float to other hospital units, such as Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical, and Critical Care Units as necessary.- Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship skills, ensuring a supportive environment for patients and families.- Triaging scheduled and unscheduled patients while managing multiple tasks with confidence. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Active RN license with at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and OB.- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and completion of fetal monitoring course.- Strong communication and critical thinking skills with the ability to teach effectively.- Experience in antepartum and intrapartum care, handling complications such as fetal demise, and administration of magnesium sulfate.- Proficiency in neonatal care including IVs and CPAP, and assistance with circumcision.- Knowledge of emergency care skills related to postpartum hemorrhage, severe maternal hypertension, and cord prolapse.- Fluency in Spanish and/or French is preferred.
