Previous IR experience preferred. Moderate sedation experience. Description: The nursing unit has 24 beds with patient ratios of 3-4:1 in pre/post areas and 1:1 intraprocedural care. CNA support is available in both pre and post areas. The unit is equipped with IV pumps, specialty beds, bedside monitors, and telemetry boxes. Documentation is handled through the Cerner system. Scheduling requires 4 ten-hour shifts per week, with on-call duties 4-5 weekday nights in a 6-week schedule and every 10-11th weekend. There is no floating policy, but flexing based on volume is practiced. Critical care and/or previous procedural experience, particularly with vascular patients, is required. Experience with all cardiac diagnoses is essential, with emphasis on vascular patients. Advanced skills in ACLS and PALS are needed. Procedures performed on the unit include IR, invasive CT, and invasive ultrasound cases. Green hospital-issued scrubs are required as part of the dress code. The unit fosters a supportive environment with a strong emphasis on patient experience.
