Addison Group is partnering with our client, a rapidly growing and well-established organization, to hire a Senior Manager, Benefits. This role will be instrumental in leading benefits strategy, administration, and employee engagement initiatives for a large and diverse workforce.
Job Description:
The Senior Manager, Benefits is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and administration of health, welfare, and wellness programs. This position will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive process improvements while enhancing the employee benefits experience. The role involves leadership, cross-departmental collaboration, and vendor management to ensure programs are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate benefits strategies, including health, welfare, and wellness programs.
- Oversee benefits compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.).
- Lead the annual open enrollment process, including communication planning and project management.
- Build and maintain vendor and broker relationships to ensure high-quality service.
- Monitor market trends and recommend enhancements to maintain competitive benefit offerings.
- Oversee plan renewals, cost modeling, and design recommendations in collaboration with leadership.
- Manage benefits administration, including eligibility, billing, and claims resolution.
- Deliver benefits education campaigns to increase employee engagement.
- Supervise and develop a team, fostering a collaborative, employee-first culture.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in benefits administration.
- 3+ years of leadership experience, managing at least two direct reports.
- Experience working in mid-to-large-sized organizations (2,000+ employees preferred).
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and executive presence.
- Proven ability to partner with leadership, managers, and HR teams.
- Solutions-driven mindset with a proactive, employee-first approach.
- Preferred: Retirement plan experience, Total Rewards background, Dayforce or Business Solver knowledge, and change management expertise.
