Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Manager to join our team and lead our HR department. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing a team of HR professionals and providing strategic support to our company of 200 employees in multiple US sates. The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR generalist with a deep understanding of all areas of human resources and a proven track record of effective leadership.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Will oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of HR team.
- Must have working knowledge of all functions of HR/Payroll so can easily step in and cover team duties when team is out.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of 5 HR professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Employee Relations: Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions, while ensuring a fair and respectful workplace.
- Talent Acquisition: Oversee the full-cycle recruitment and selection process. Internal recruiters will report directly to HR Manager.
- Performance Management: Carry out performance management programs, including annual performance evaluations.
- Training and Development: Identify HR department training needs, design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and promote professional development.
- Compensation and Benefits: Oversee compensation and benefits programs and ensure they are being carried out on a day-to-day basis effectively.
- HR Policies and Compliance: Update and enforce HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Employee Engagement: Foster a positive and engaging work environment through initiatives such as employee engagement surveys, recognition programs, and wellness activities.
- Labor Law Knowledge: Will apply working knowledge of California and Federal labor laws to everyday situations.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a workplace that values and leverages the contributions of all employees.
- HR Metrics and Reporting: Report on HR and people related company metrics to provide insights and recommendations for informed decision-making.
- Conflict Resolution: Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
- HR Strategy: Contribute to the development of HR strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and drive organizational success.
- Other duties that support HR and the company as they arise.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; preferred but not required.
- HR Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Payroll Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience processing and closing exempt and non-exempt and payroll.
- HR Expertise: Well-versed in all areas of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and HR compliance.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and inspire an HR team and support the needs of the company. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a focus on finding practical and fair solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and changing work environment.
- Ethical Conduct: Uphold the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Software: Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Travel: 25% travel required.
