One of our rapidly growing clients in the Restaurants and Hospitality space is seeking a Strategic Senior Human Resources Manager to join their growing Human Resources Team. Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., wage & hour, ADA, FMLA, CA/NY/NJ-specific regulations).
Lead policy development, implementation, and enforcement aligned with legal requirements and company values.
Manage audit readiness, government inquiries, and internal investigations with discretion and accuracy.
Oversee compliance training programs for managers and employees.
Maintain documentation standards for employee relations, disciplinary actions, and compliance workflows.
HR Operations & Employee Support
Employee relations, including performance management, investigations and conflict resolution
Partner with HR and Operations teams to enhance onboarding and offboarding processes for exempt and non-exempt employees.
Provide guidance and resources to employees regarding workplace injuries, claims, and return-to-work programs.
Support case management tracking and communication documentation for workplace incidents and claims.
Maintain employee data integrity and reporting via HRIS systems.
Project & Program Management
Lead initiatives to improve workplace safety, injury prevention, and workers compensation cost control.
Track and report on HR metrics, compliance trends, and areas of opportunity.
Support HCM system transitions and workflow configuration to align with compliance and operational goals.
Coach and influence cross-functional partners and HR team members to drive alignment and accountability.
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, offering clear, actionable guidance on sensitive and complex issues.
Foster a culture of transparency, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
710 years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in HR management
Restaurant industry or hospitality HR experience.
Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance practices, especially in California, New York and New Jersey
Experience with HCM systems (e.g., isolved, UKG) and workflow configuration
Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, investigations, and compliance-heavy environments
Exceptional writing skills capable of drafting policies, investigations, and professional correspondence
Experience building HR processes and infrastructure from the ground up
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, lead projects, and build cross-functional relationships
Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. HR certification a plus.
