About the Role

Were looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to lead core finance operations during a critical phase of growth. You will work closely with the CFO to ensure strong fiscal discipline, accurate financial reporting, and scalable processes. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and has experience with high-growth, venture-backed companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of accounting and financial operations: AP/AR, general ledger, month-end close, and tax compliance
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements
• Develop, document, and continuously refine accounting policies and procedures to ensure scalability and audit-readiness
• Coordinate and support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis based on actual performance (in partnership with the CFO)
• Establish and maintain scalable systems for financial reporting, audit prep, and compliance
• Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and coordinate audit activities
• Maximize payroll efficiency through streamlined processes and vendor management
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure efficient financial operations across departments
• Report directly to the CEO and support the CFO in financial strategy and capital activities

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive financial experience, with 3+ years in a Controller or senior accounting role at a high-growth tech company
• Strong understanding of SaaS, ecommerce, or fintech financial operations
• Skilled in QuickBooks and modern finance tools (e.g., Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, Carta)
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and operational focus
• High integrity and a strong sense of ownership
