Pay Information $2,410 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role License: Valid California License required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Experience in Level II nursery Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3 Description: We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate should have previous charge experience and be familiar with Level II nursery practices. This position requires the ability to manage neonatal patients with varying needs, including those who are over 29 weeks gestation. You should be comfortable with a variety of clinical tasks, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing developmental care. Experience with charting in the Epic system is essential. This role may involve floating between units based on facility needs. Candidates should be willing to work every other weekend and be available for on-call duties. You will be expected to work two out of three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. The daily census for this unit typically averages 2-3 patients. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care. Strong communication and teaching skills for patient and family education are crucial.
