Pay Information $2,542 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Stepdown Duration: 20 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a progressive care or step-down unit License: Active RN license in ND or compact state Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: 2 years of experience in a larger facility (minimum 200 beds). Ability to care for intermediate ICU patients independently. Experience with ventilators. Experience with BiPAP devices. Experience titrating vasopressor drips. Experience with EPIC electronic medical records. Experience in large hospital or level 1 centers. Description: This is a PCU/Tele/ICU Stepdown unit. General job duties include management of 3 intermediate ICU patients. You will manage varying patient populations, including intermediate cardiac, neuro, trauma, medical, and post-surgical patients. Responsibilities include managing vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips within a lower titration range. The unit utilizes various equipment, including EPIC EMR, automated dispensing cabinets, IV pumps, feeding pumps, patient monitoring systems, and ventilators. Nurse to patient ratio is 1 nurse to 3-4 patients. Floating to other critical care departments may be required, including ratios up to 4:1. Floating to medical-surgical units may also be needed. The dress code is navy scrubs. All clinicians must have the required BLS and ACLS certifications. This position requires a willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
