Pay Information $2,236 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, 07:00-15:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: 2 years OR Circulating Experience at an Acute Care Hospital Job Description: - Weeknight and weekend on-call duties are required. - Only one requested shift off is allowed for all staff between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day. - Operating Room Location: South Tower, 2nd Floor. - The unit consists of 14 Operating Rooms, including 2 dedicated Cardiovascular ORs. - Day Shift Staffing: 6 RNs and 6 Surgical Technologists. - Operating Room hours: 07:30 to 15:00 for 6 rooms, 15:00 to 17:00 for 3 rooms, 17:00 to 19:00 for 2 rooms, with an on-call team from 19:00 onward. - Patient Ratios: 1:1. - Type of equipment: EMR Meditech ORM. - Varied skill set preferred, including General Surgery, ENT, Uro/Gyn, Ortho, Robotics, and CVOR experience. - Preferred: CNOR Certification and 5 years of experience. - Typical procedures: Heavy Robotics, Gyn, General Surgery, ENT, Colorectal, Vascular, Urology. - Best personality fit: Flexible, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. - Floating Area(s): Preop Holding. - Dress Code: Scrubs provided by the hospital. - Shift starts at 06:30 with a huddle at 06:45 daily. 30-minute response time is required for on-call. - Staff self-schedule on-call shifts, 1 to 2 per week depending on PTO requests. - Artificial nails, dips, gels, etc., are not permitted. - Weekends are covered by on-call 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday. - Call shift during weekdays begins at the end of the regular shift and ends at 07:00 the next morning.
