Pay Information $2,295 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: Experience with Level II NICU, stabilization and transition of newborns, postpartum couplet care Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate must be competent in couplet care in postpartum and able to attend deliveries. A minimum of two years of NICU experience is required. Candidates with one year of experience may be considered if they have prior travel experience. Experience in stabilization and attending high and low-risk deliveries is essential. The nurse will care for neonates in the nursery. Candidates must be experienced with well newborns and maternal care in postpartum. The unit provides specialized care for babies born with low birth weight and prematurity. Common conditions include respiratory issues and substance abuse in infants. The nurse will be expected to manage typical IV drips, including TPN and lipids. There is a charge nurse present on each shift, and they may take an assignment. Neonatologist and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner support is available 24/7. Respiratory therapists are also available on-site 24/7. Experience with equipment such as vents and high flow is necessary. There are no nursing aids or patient care technicians on the unit. Nurses are responsible for reading their own telemetry strips. Flexible scheduling is offered, but every other weekend is required. Holidays will be rotated among permanent staff. There is no call or standby requirement. Candidates may float to the Mother-Baby unit as needed. Scrubs are provided for all staff members.
