Pay Information $2,016 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, EKG Rhythm Certification Must-Have: - Neuro and Cardiac experience - Advanced skills in glucose monitoring, Foley insertion, dressing changes, EKGs, and peritoneal dialysis Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit. The unit features a total of 25 beds. The patient ratio is 4:1 during the day and 5:1 at night. Staffing includes a clinical nurse coordinator, 6-7 RNs, 2 technicians, and 1 unit secretary. The unit is equipped with Alaris Pumps, tele-tracking systems, Imobile communication devices, B450 monitors, and a Pyxis system. Documentation is managed through a Meditech system. Scheduling requirements include full-time (36 hours) and every third weekend. Part-time positions require 24 hours and every third weekend. PRN staff must complete three shifts a month, with one shift on the weekend. Travelers or contract nurses will work 36 hours and every other weekend. Floating is done on a rotating system to meet hospital needs. This role involves triaging acute care patients and identifying life-threatening rhythms. A strong emphasis is placed on patient experience and care. This unit has received several awards, including the Daisy Award for Nurses and High Fives for employees.
