Pay Information $2,252 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Two years of acute care RN experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree (ASN) Description: A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients. The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective patient- and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for maintaining a financially stable unit and promoting their own development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education supported by a Practice Governance framework. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Applying the caring processes of the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care, the RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies their educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting staff. Job Responsibilities: Performs assessments and reassessments according to policy and procedure or as warranted by the patient’s condition and demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care and reviews and revises the plan as indicated. Collaborates with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary services and utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patient, and family. Monitors and documents responses to clinical interventions. Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs and as appropriate to the care, treatment, and services provided during their stay and at discharge. Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel and functions as a mentor/preceptor. Demonstrates, encourages, and facilitates teamwork and identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement. Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts and implements practice changes; complies with regulatory standards; participates in the Practice Governance model.
