ER RN Job Details Location: Westminster, Maryland 21157 Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED) Assignment Type: Travel Nursing (locum tenens) Start Date: September 23, 2025 End Date: December 30, 2025 Contract Duration: 14 weeks Nursing Shifts: 3x12-hour mid shifts per week (3:00 PM - 3:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) Patient Ratio: 1:4 Orientation: 18 hours Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1830-$1960 Emergency Room Nurse Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience Prior travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted) Active Maryland or Compact Registered Nurse license Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (TNCC and CPI preferred) Proficiency with hospital charting systems Ability to provide 3 professional references Community hospital experience preferred Flexibility to float within hospital (excluding Cancer Center and Cath Lab) ER RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients Perform triage, assessment, and management of acute and complex medical conditions Administer emergency medications, blood products, and advanced interventions (including chest tube management, intubation, procedural sedation) Interpret ABGs, dysrhythmias, and EKGs Manage trauma, psychiatric emergencies, multisystem organ dysfunction, and behavioral health cases Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services) Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital protocols Participate in orientation and required virtual modules Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your Emergency Room nursing career in Westminster, Maryland!
