Minimum Experience: 2 years (plus 1 successful travel assignment)

Job Overview:

A leading acute care hospital in Savannah, GA is seeking experienced Progressive Care/Stepdown Registered Nurses to join their PCU team. This unit specializes in patients who require close monitoring and advanced care for complex medical conditions, particularly cardiac and med-surg-related diagnoses.

Nurses on this unit work in a supportive, team-based environment with access to advanced equipment and strong interdisciplinary collaboration.


Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient care based on nursing process and in accordance with hospital standards and protocols
  • Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition
  • Administer medications and IV therapies (including titratable and set-rate drips as required)
  • Perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
  • Document all patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record (MEDITECH 6.1)
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other care team members to coordinate treatment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Active RN license in good standing (Compact license accepted if applicable)
  • Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association required)
  • Minimum Experience:
    • 2 years of recent PCU, Telemetry, or Stepdown experience
    • At least 1 successful travel assignment
  • Strong clinical skills in acute care, including:
    • Cardiac monitoring and telemetry
    • Drip management (titration experience preferred)
    • Respiratory support (e.g., nasal cannula, face mask, BiPAP)
    • Medication administration and IV therapy
